REMEMBER WHY YOU STARTED

I don't know about you but I love the start of a new year. There seems to be something that draws a sense of wonder at what lays ahead. With the new year comes renewed vigour for great adventures ahead and a peace with all that is left behind. I close each year asking "God what are you saying to me? What is the vision for this year?" And every year, as His word promises, as I seek Him, I find Him. Not because I am so special, but because He is faithful.

January 1st comes... Ready, set, go!

But all too often, by the time february rolls around, or even mid Jan, the realities of life, or even our early failures in our best laid plans can threaten to derail and deflate us.

So I today I thought I would share what I think are some of the keys to maintaining momentum as you work through and toward your vision for the year.

  1. Make it specific // Quite simply - write the vision down!

  2. Make it practical // A vision without a plan is just a dream. Write down measurable action steps that will lead you towards where you want to go.

  3. Make it visible // Share your vision with one or two trusted people who will not only build you up but will also challenge and spur you on throughout the year.

  4. Remember why you started // A good friend of mine always says "When the vision is clear, then the cost is never too much."

So keep going friends! It's not about how you start but about how you finish and I'm trusting that you finish strong!

Thanks for stopping by, K xx
