PROMISE | DAY 10 OF 31

Welcome to "31 Days of Words to Love By." For the next 31 days, I am working my way through my Pinterest board of quotes and writing down my thoughts about each one – what they spark, where they lead me, and how they apply to every day life... I will be putting a Five Minute Friday spin on it, by writing for 5 minutes, free flowing and unedited. This largely unedited free-write is linking up with the annual Write 31 Days Challenge. // indicates the start and stop of five minutes. //

Today's quote: As He Promised.

//The infallibility of the word of God is something that gives me real comfort. There is a powerful scripture in the Bible that says God has put His word above His name (Psalm 138:2). Which to me, displays something wonderful about His character. Even God, is accountable to His word. Which means He is can be found trustworthy, objective and stable.

He does as He promises. It also says that He is not a man that He should lie (Numbers 23:19). How safe that makes me feel. He doesn't lie. There is no shadow of turning in Him (James 1:17). He is consistent, He is perfect and never changes. He watches over His word to perform it (Jeremiah 1:12). He is active. He knows the beginning from the end (Isaiah 46:10). He is loyal. His Word doesn't return void (Isaiah 55:11). He is faithful.

Are there things that you know God has spoken over you or promised you but they haven't yet come to pass? Be patient, because as He has promised He will do.

There are many things that are uncertain in this life, but one of the great privileges of the Christian life is that no matter what day to day uncertainly there is, there is a deep peace that settles in a heart that hangs on to, trusts in and relies on His word.//

Thanks for stopping by, K x x
